Luke Charteris on a run for Perpignan

Injured: Luke Charteris

Welsh lock Luke Charteris has been ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing ligaments in his knee.

The 29-year-old forward Charteris will also miss the 2013 Six Nations as Wales look to defend their Grand Slam and Six Nations Championship.

Charteris was hurt on the half-hour of Saturday's game for his Top 14 club side Perpignan against Montpellier, a match his team won 30-19.
