Samoa stun Wales in Cardiff

George Pisi try Wales v Samoa

Fine finish: George Pisi

Samoa sent Six Nations holders Wales crashing to their fifth consecutive loss after the visitors secured a 26-19 win at the Millennium Stadium on Friday.

It was the hosts' fourth negative to the islanders and followed Rob Howley's charges' defeat to Argentina at the same venue only one week ago.

Suddenly a November whitewash seems likely, with Wales now preparing to face New Zealand and Australia in their final Test series fixtures.

The visitors came out of the blocks firing as they looked to kick on from their impressive win over Canada in Colwyn Bay a week ago. And they managed to cross the whitewash within two minutes against the sterner opposition when number eight Taiasina Tuifua broke through a somewhat non-existent defence before recycled ball was moved wide to Paul Williams and then George Pisi, with the Northampton Saints centre sending over Faatoina Autagavaia on the right.

The impressive Tusi Pisi's conversion made it 0-7 with the match still very much in its infancy. For Welsh supporters, it was a moment of realisation, realisation that their Grand Slam champions were in for a big test of their credentials.

Leigh Halfpenny, who was on-form with the boot in Cardiff, pulled the hosts back to 3-7 with 16 minutes played after a ruck infringement and then cut matters down to a point on the half-hour. By this point Wales had been forced to make a change, as Richard Hibbard was hurt.

Despite their six points, Wales were not having things their own way but were the recipients of a gift from Pisi, with the fly-half throwing a suicide pass that Ashley Beck gobbled up and then set off for a 70 metre sprint to the whitewash. Halfpenny made it 13-7 with the extras.

The assured Pisi did reduce the arrears off the kicking tee with the last play of the first-half, which made the contest beautifully balanced at 13-10 with 40 minutes remaining in Cardiff.

After the turnaround the match continued to excite and when Kahn Fotuali'i scooted down the blindside at a ruck close to halfway to set up centre Pisi for a superb finish in the corner, the Samoans were ahead again. Fly-half Tusi could not add the extras however, and one wondered whether that missed conversion on 47 minutes would come back to hurt them.

An exchange of penalties from Halfpenny and Pisi then troubled the scorers as the lead changed hands five times during the second-half. Up 21-19, Samoa repelled a rare attack by Wales soon after, with the hosts struggling to make any real headway with ball in hand.

Instead it was Samoa who had the final say when David Lemi kicked ahead, Halfpenny and Autagavaia both missed the bouncing ball to hand replacement Johnny Leota a try late on.

Man of the match: A toss-up between the half-backs in blue. Let's go for Tusi Pisi's effort.

Moment of the match: The finish from George Pisi was something special. It had to be him.

Villain of the match: Maybe of a couple of let's say 'choice' tackles could make it in there but there was nothing major to write home about. Next up for the Welsh will be New Zealand.

The scorers:

You just keep proving my original point. Read my first few posts and the Argentina article is what caught you out and you just really hate being caught out so it's no wonder you keep saying "Move on" "Move on" and keep responding by spitting out childish insults galore and insisting you have the last word/insult.

As I said before The Wales/Argentina game may have been an upset for you and you have provided your reasons why but equally I have provided reasons as to why I and others may think it wasn't. What you haven't done is provide a reasonable answer as to why you should call people idiots for simply having expressed their opinion that the Wales/Argentina result was for them not an upset. Take away your insults and the few explanations you have made do not stand up.

Take for instance your last paragraph of 18.23 27 Nov. where you say the following. " An example of different views would be whether one RWC winning AB's team is better than the other. Both views are fine. A stupid comment would be that they're always a lucky cheating team".

Certainly I also agree that to say a team is always lucky or cheating is stupid BUT that bears no comparison to a comment from someone who simply wasn't surprised and didn't think the Argentina/Wales game was an upset.. RATHER. Both views on whether it's an upset or not are to use your words FINE. They are both reasonable, not controversial and non offensive.

@7ton - Well done mr idiot - you just couldn't move on. That last post was the final nail in your coffin - proving that you are a complete 7 ton idiot! Well done!

You know very well that I do not agree with most of what you have just said here and I believe it is simply untrue and

they are hardly neutral comments that you have made are they? Yet you suggest I make neutral comments in order to move on!!!. In other words you are suggesting we move on but only on your terms.

So if why waste time when you know that we both can't agree and you could have simply moved on.

@7ton - Im suggesting WE move on, not just me.

Why are you still going back to the Argentina comments? I've addressed those points and even critically analysed your own comments on that thread, which aren't exactly sensible are they.

So no more criticism from me now provided we simply move on. By all means post something neutral if you want to be childish and have the last word.

In your hands now!

What you've provided an excellent example of why insults should be applied by you to people who didn't think it was an upset that Argentina beat Wales? I don't think so and it's very trivial and you know I don't agree. So why waste peoples time if you want to move on then just move on

@7ton - they are insults but I have already presented an excellent case as to why they should be applied. As for untruths - you should know them! I see no evidence of that from me.

Time to move on (HINT HINT) or is it too subtle.

Re arguments refer to all my previous posts. If you want to move on then just move on. Don't come back with a load of insults and untruths and then expect me to move on.

@7ton - only an idiot would think I meant that just I'd move on. You still are not bringing any argument to the table, so most of what you say isn't wrong, but just plain non-existent. Of course Ive won the initial argument as you haven't supported it. Provide argument if you like, but please stop making yourself a bigger idiot with your naive postings. Now lets move on, or do you have mental health issues that compel you to respond? I can help if you do, so if you do respond, let me know where you live and I'll make sure you have appropriate support. Now that's just being plain nice.

So now your down to just indicating you're right and I'm wrong so move on. Well I don't agree of course but at least you have left out the usual insults and like I've said before if you want to move on then just move on

@7ton - have addressed all your comments before. You fail to address mine. Time to move on. No need to respond as it will add nothing.

you say "nothing new" Well you dodged your hypocracy over the bad smell remarks but that is to be expected and nothing new from you

Where a team are clear favourites and lose then we can say that it is an upset. Obviously you believed Wales were clear favourites so for you it was an upset and that is fair enough. However others thought Wales were far from clear favourites, just slight or 50/50 and some thought Argentina would win so for them it wasn't an upset and they were quite entitled to say that in the previous article.

For you to call these people idiots and say their views were stupid just proves how insulting and abusive you are. Your "bad smell" remarks revealed how rude and hypocritical you are.

As for your moving on remarks you are perfectly capable of doing that yourself so why didn't you? instead of asking/demanding that someone else does after you have insulted them further.

@7ton - very original - you bring nothing knew, continue to refuse to move on (which I asked you to do many times before), and have proved yourself to be the biggest idiot on the site. Well done. What award would you like.

I have changed my mind - keep the comments coming. I'm enjoying showing you up so easily.

Try arguing with me please - you can't can you.

makemehappy. You had the opportunity to move on a while back where I had been quite civil. I refer to my post 22Nov. where I said " Well it's your choice for yourself to move on to where ever you want but I trust you agree that those who were not surprised or thought it no great upset that Argentina beat Wales are neither illogical or stupid. In fact we may say they had good foresight and certainly are not idiots"

You could of moved on there and then or simply responded in a civil manner but instead you chose to get abusive and say that I "linger like a bad smell" How rude is that?-and you accuse me of being rude. How hypocritical!

Now if you do read things properly like you are fond of advising others to do you will see that the point I have repeatedly tried to get across to you is that there is no need to insult people just because they have different and inoffensive view to yours. I'm not debating whether Wales or Samoa had a better team on paper or if the Wales/Argentina result was a upset or not. However just to satisfy you. Having watched Argentina play a lot recently I could foresee the quite likely situation of them winning. Along with a strong forward pack they had come from a learning experience from the RC. Also the players were used to playing in European venues and in my view had plenty of potential to win The Welsh regions were not performing that well in the HC and compounded with the problem of players being outside of Wales the whole set up looked disorganised. Now I appreciate it was an upset for you and you will have to ask the other posters who you called idiots why they were not surprised at the result.

Now please do not come back here wanting the last word, asking to move on whilst being insulting, rude and hypocritical because you will just prove that is exactly what you are

@7ton - in response to your last posting. If it is that trivial, then I'm sure you won't mind me expressing my view. You seem to forget that people can be stupid or idiots. Most would associate such phrases with illogical behaviour. An example of such behaviour would be a posting where someone states that one team is favourite to win a match and then when the other won wins that it isn't an upset. It might not be an astonishing result, but a basic understanding of probability will tell you that it was unlikely to happen and therefore is an upset. Such a comment therefore would have been a rather stupid one to make.

In addition stupid comments have nothing to support them. Hence I have backed mine up with fact.

Calling someone an idiot isn't rude. It might not be nice, but it isn't rude. Saying something is 'crap' is rude however. It is a swear word. So it isn't funny 'Haha'.

You also failed to prove anything. I didn't respond simply to have the last word. That is obvious to any intelligent person. I responded because of what you said. So, I'm afraid you're wrong again.

I really don't want to have to keep on embarassing you on here, so as I've asked time and time again, lets move on. Enjoy the rugby, enjoy the site and enjoy the fact that we all have different opinions and views on the site and express them differently. Just expect anyone who says something stupid, to be told that its stupid. Only fair! Its not just a different view point they offer, its a stupid comment.

An example of different views would be whether one RWC winning AB's team is better than the other. Both views are fine. A stupid comment would be that they're always a lucky cheating team. There is no measurement behind the stance. Hopefully that clears things up simply for you.

@7ton - I must apologise for not addressing the first paragraph of your last response. If you don't think words are important, then please don't use any. That is how trivial they are.

Now prove yourself to be a grown up. You've produced no argument, been rude, been stupid, refused to respond to comments unlike me and also, despite desparate pleas, have just carried on talking rubbish. Now please, FOR THE LAST TIME I HOPE - lets call it a day, agree to disagree and move on and enjoy some rugby. You started the argument, and I trust I have now ended it. Move on!

My point proven

Rudeness? You call people stupid and idiots just because they have a different view over a trivial matter and then go on about rudeness. HaHa. Likewise you insult people, tell them to move on and expect no response and insist on having the last word.

@7ton - you are right that I have to respond to such rudeness! Shows who the childish one is. You keep on repeating yourself too and don't learn from your mistakes. I pity you. Now for the fourth time - time to move on - or are you going to show you are the most stupid person on here by coming back and making a fool of yourself again!?

Posted 13:10 26th November 2012

How trivial are you trying to make an argument over whether a result is a upset, great upset or whatever. I couldn't give a damn if you were surprised at the result or not.

The point I've made is that there is no need to insult people just because they have a different viewpoint especially just because some posters expressed their view that they were not surprised at the result

But you can't accept that and just comeback with more crap and insults while saying you want to move on. Probably because you're that childish you think you have to have the last word and you will probably prove that by coming back again.

Posted 14:37 25th November 2012

makemehappy says...

@7ton - I have confirmed why people are called idiots. You need to read! As for the last insult - don't you think someone who keeps on asking the same question, despite being given the answer needs a kick up the butt?

Now you are changing tact - so its just an upset and not a great one lol! The bottom line was that it was an upset - of course it was. Not an astonishing one (such as Wales beating NZ today). You haven't provided an argument to support your claim here.

As for moving on, that was meant as a helpful suggestion since you are making an idiot of yourself here - not me. Now please, lets just bury the hatchett and move on. Thanks.
