Family bereavement: Bjorn Basson
Blue Bulls prop forward Dawie Steyn has been ruled out of this Saturday's Currie Cup fixture against the Free State Cheetahs at Loftus Versfeld.
Team doctor Org Strauss confirmed the forward has a calf strain and is therefore unavailable for the competition's basement side this weekend.
Arno Botha (hamstring) will train on Tuesday to determine his availability for Saturday.
In other injury news, Wilhelm Steenkamp (ankle), Dewald Potgieter (back), Akona Ndungane (ribs), Warwick Tecklenburg (chin) and JJ Engelbrecht (thumb) all missed training on Monday due to various injuries picked up against Griquas.
Bjorn Basson has been deemed fit for a return but is a doubt due to a family bereavement.
