passtheball - i was worried a while yesterday when BoP looked like making a comeback. good for taranaki to get those 5 points lots of areas to improve on, and jason eaton makes a great winger - what a try!
they've got chris smylie too at some stage?

Strong forwards but equally talented backs - Barrett, Hayward (under-rated) Baker, Taylor, for example - we can expect them to do very well this year.
BOP might surprise this year too!

another boost for the Taranaki pack - signed prop Chris King from Highlanders/Southland for two ITM seasons; 97 Super matches to his name he's a good addition, along with Jason Eaton, Craig Clarke and Jarrad Hoeta all having Super exp, Eaton and Hoeta both short AB careers also. Those last two the 'nearly men' never featured again despite having strong seasons.

rakavi187 - yes, it's just a name on the page, appears he only played once for them last year, never in 2010, twice in 2009. Same for all the first choice ABs, their brief returns may be a disruption to the established team through the season. He hasn't featured in either of the two matches Taranaki has already played - two Ranfurly Shield defences.
