I watched the replay yesterday and noticed the Sharks were offside and obstructing on numerous occasions .. and the further they got behind the worse they got.

Simple way to improve the travel for the sharks would have been to keep the rankings based onpoints, instead of gifting the useless Reds a home semi despite finishing 6th.

I can handle the rule where top from each country gets a spot, but it's ridiculous that they are automatically ranked top of the pile and given home advantage. In this case it totally shafted the Sharks, who would have had just 1 long trip (to NZ for the final, rather than flying half way to the moon and back), and probably cost the general public a more competitive and exciting game... especially when the Australian competition is by far the weakest anyway...

The words "sour" and "grapes" spring to mind. The sharks should have won more matches and then they wouldn't have to travel.

Good quality Rugby teams will always play to the referee's rules.... if the referee is not enforcing the "rules" properly, then this is not the fault of the players.... there will always be an element of "cynical" behaviour from the players (that is to be expected). However, it is encumbent upon referees to eliminate cheating and cynical fouls.

My thoughts also.

Totally agree. It is annoying. However the best team won.

Kiwi should refrain to be so cynical and play in good spirit.
