Sale Sharks captain Dan Braid is continuing his recovery from a knee injury ahead of the start of next season.
The Sale squad returned to Carrington on Monday morning to start their pre-season training.
Braid however who has been in most days since the season ended, who is undergoing rehabilitation on his knee injury sustained in the pre-game build-up at Bath in March.
"The knee is improving with every session I do. I have not started running on it yet but that will be taking place very soon," said Braid.
Braid has had a chance to meet some of Sale's new recruits, including Clermont second row Nathan Hines.
"I have never played against Nathan but he is a real athlete, putting in extra time on everything we do. Nathan is going to be a great addition to the squad."
Braid, a former All Black, was also impressed with how Sale fly-half Danny Cipriani fared on England's tour of New Zealand.
"I thought England were very competitive in the first two games but the All Blacks upped the pace in the final test and England were well beaten," stated Braid.
"I was impressed with Danny Cipriani on the tour, he didn't get a lot of game time in the Tests but when he came on he showed what he can do.
"His display against Crusaders was Danny at his best and he should be proud of his efforts on the tour."
