Gloucester boss Nigel Davies praised his players after they fought back from a a 10-0 deficit to beat Bath 16-10 in a Premiership clash at Kingsholm on Saturday.
Fly-half Freddie Burns led Gloucester's fightback with a drop-goal, two penalties and conversion of full-back Rob Cook's second half try.
"We had no control of the first-half," said Davies.
"We were on the back foot almost everywhere.
"It was important to sort things out. It was certainly a game of two halves, and we managed to bring width and continuity in the second period.
"Perhaps we were a bit complacent in the build-up this week, but it was pretty easy at half-time because we had been so far off the game. We knew what we had to do.
"We showed the resilience and composure which is a hallmark of this team."
Davies singled out Burns for special praise and with England returning to international duty next month the Cherry and Whites pivot is hitting top form at the right time.
"Freddie has a fantastic skill-set, and it has been about putting all that together and managing games," Davies added.
"At international level, you look for consistency in players and game-management from your 10, and he is certainly doing that at the moment."

There is only one question remaining with Burns and that is big game temperament. His not in the HC so Lancaster has to find out in the Fiji and Oz games. Not to do so could see us bumbling on for another year with the Flood or Farrell debate both incomplete international 10s not up to the level of other top nations. Unless Lancaster has a reversal of character this must be a foregone conclusion. A big big error if he sticks to last years pecking order.
