All Blacks centre Ma'a Nonu and loose forward Jerome Kaino are injury worries ahead of next weekend's Bledisloe Cup rematch with Australia in Auckland.

Nonu was forced off the field in the second half of Saturday's 12-12 draw in Sydney with a sore shoulder while Kaino has an elbow problem.

Both will have scans in Auckland on Monday but coach Steve Hansen admitted the veteran midfielder was not looking good.

"I'd say we'd be sweating on whether or not he (Nonu) will be right next week," said Hansen said on Sunday.

No Wallaby team has beaten the All Blacks at Eden Park since 1986 but Nonu's absence would come as a heavy blow for New Zealand following a disappointing performance at the Olympic Stadium.

Outside centre Conrad Smith missed the first Test after he rushed home to be with his wife for the birth of their first child but Hansen expects him to be back for the second Test where he is likely to partner Malakai Fekitoa in midfield if Nonu is not fit.

Ryan Crotty will be kept in the squad as cover because the Smith jnr. has yet to be born.

"I'm sure we'll get Conrad back at some stage this week... things seem to be progressing okay there," added Hansen.

"There's a lot of disappointment for a number of reasons," he added with regard to Saturday's result.

"There's only three teams in the history of tier one nations who have won 17 games in a row, so that in itself is a massive achievement. It's disappointing we didn't get to 18 but I'm pleased we gutsed out a draw I guess."
