Springbok prop Dean Greyling has been cited for alleged foul play during Saturday's 21-11 loss to the All Blacks in Dunedin.
Greyling is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (a) punching or striking, when he made contact with New Zealand captain Ritchie McCaw with his arm in the 64th minute of the match.
Referee George Clancy issued a yellow card for the incident. Upon further review of the match footage the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty judicial officer Paul Tully.

I said it before...Greyling is one massive di**head.....does the same rubbish in the S15. Typical old school highveld clutch plate with a chip on his shoulder and an over inflated sense of his physical prowess!!!

Greyling may not be seen in the SA jersey again for a while.
Bok coach Heyneke Meyer has offered a public apology to McCaw.
¿I am very big on discipline and it is unacceptable,¿ Meyer said. ¿I think it cost us the game as well.'
¿I want to apologise to Richie and we will deal with it in-house, but it is unacceptable. We are a team that prides ourselves and you can¿t afford these things in games.¿

McCaw was the tackler. Headbutt last week and forearm to the face this week, what will dumb and dumber give us next?

McCaw just plays better and better, his opponents get dirtier and dirtier. 50 shades of Greyling, all of them dirty.
Carpelone, McCaw did not enter from the side, the tackle made and McCaw was second man in on the player holding onto the ball on the ground the two players that hit him had to come from a more offside position than McCaw.
Also it was not a punching, it was a flying forearem to a player who had been knocked to the ground. philipjfry says - Carpelone has not point whatsoever.

You may argue as long as you want, he should not have been there. In case the ruck was not formed, he should have released the ball and the player, which he never does.
Strangely enough, other Kiwi players do the same, but they get penalised (Thomson, Reid).
But the retribution for that must be only a penalty, not a punch.

No, it is not Clancy's fault. But now go, and do not leave your sheep alone for too long.

Looking at the replay it could well be argued that McCaw entered before a ruck was formed and was actually part of the tackle and in any case did initially enter pretty well head on.
Nothing different from what went on from players from both teams over the course of the game.
If you want to go on about cheating like you always do then take a look at Habana who appeared to touch the ball as it went out then claimed it went out on the full.
Now that is cheating

From our friend Carpelone:
"That punching would not have happened should Clancy have penalised McCheat immediately for entering from the side".
Get over it dude. Incessantly bleating about McCaw being a cheat really just exposes your insecurity. Especially after the game he had today.

I didn't see it - it must have been a pretty severe punch on the arm!!!

Grayling is a thickhead --just because McCaw spends his life offside lying on the ball and seldom gets penalised doesn't mean you are allowed to punch him--hope Greylimg is suspended for ever

That should have been a red card, imo.

LOL i should think so a 6-8 week ban at least i think Should have been a straight red during the game aswell .Just how stupid was it to run up to a ruck fly over it and punch R.McCaw sitting on the floor ,all in front of the assistant referee ,this after giving a stupid penalty at a scrum ,and compounded by giving away annother in the dying seconds which denyed the bokke a bonus point .
