Ruled out: Wenceslas Lauret

France will be without back-up flanker Wenceslas Lauret for their opening Six Nations match against Italy.

Lauret, who has made three international appearances, sustained a concussion playing for Biarritz in the Top 14 against Toulouse on Friday.

Coach Philippe Saint-Andre called up the uncapped Pierrick Gunther on Sunday as a replacement for Lauret.

Lauret had not been expected to start the February 3 match against the Azzurri.

Saint-Andre is already without first-choice winger Vincent Clerc after he injured his right thigh playing for Toulouse in the same Top 14 clash.

The coach has complained about the team's lack of preparation time for the Six Nations, unhappy that international players are competing in club matches so close to the tournament.

More crocked players... I wonder how many players of the first group of 33 will be part of the last 33 on March 9th...
