Goal accomplished: Richie McCaw

New Zealand captain Richie McCaw believes his side proved their world champion status after winning the Rugby Championship in Argentina.
The All Blacks ran in seven tries to win 54-15 at Estadio Ciudad de La Plata and take a nine-point table advantage with one round of games to go.
A surprisingly easy victory stretched their winning run to fifteen matches, with Tests in South Africa and Australia before November's tour of Europe.
"It was one of our best performances this season," said McCaw after the triumph.
"When we started out in the Championship the goal was to put last year behind us. We have got the tag of world champions and we needed to play like them.
"To secure the Rugby Championship was obviously the big goal and it is nice to be able to do that. We gave a performance the guys are pretty happy with. It is the manner in which we did it that was so satisfying."
The 31-year-old takes a long break after the Rugby Championship in an attempt to try and prolong his international career ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which England host.
Head coach Steve Hansen meanwhile said his unbeaten team still needed to improve certain parts of their game despite the All Blacks' pace and power hurting the Pumas.
"We can pat ourselves on the back and enjoy the moment, but there are still areas to improve on and one of them is the connection between the forwards and backs," he said.
"To be able to attack like that you must have a platform to work off so the forwards can be very proud. Our rucking was also much better than against South Africa."

However, until then - I admire the way they play, bamboozling the opposition, ALL the referees (especially by that superman Mr Sir Lord Richard (Lionheart, Lucifer incarnate (I think that covers it) McCaw.
Long may it last. What an advertisement for picking up the ball & running with it.
Go the mighty Kiwis. (But remember 1st December - I shall be there as usual, grinding my teeth at cheats etc etc etc but admiring the best rugby team on the planet BY SEVERAL LIGHT YEARS). Look at the stats, which show how blind the refs really are & always have been etc etc.

Good response, thai_mai.
You have indeed enough silverware to hide it.

carping-on - that is poor, even by your usual low standards!
Yes the Cup isn't the best looking, they can hide it in the trophy cabinet, behind the Rugby World Cup, Bledisloe Cup, Dave Gallaher Cup, Freedom Cup, Hillary Shield. Ugly indeed.

@Phill_Moore - Nope. There aren't any missing at all. Not even the ones that are played for in one off tests (on most occasions) against France & England.
The trophies they currently hold & play for are the WC, TRC, Bledisloe (Australia), Freedom cup (South Africa), Hillary shield (England), & Dave Gallaher trophy (France). The ugliest one by a mile is the one they've just won.
You could also include the Lions series trophy as well. I can't find anything on the name of the trophy, whether it was just awarded for the 2005 series I don't know, it may well be that it was passed on to South Africa in 09. All I could find was a couple of images of AB's players holding it up.
@Sincero, Georgesmith - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... Don't you think those trolling posts get repeated enough? I really don't see the point, everyone has heard it before.
@lalby - And stoping Argentina slowing the ball down is a bad thing? I think you have to give some credit to the AB's fowards as well mate.
