Really a shame for Goosen, he's their far and away best prospect at 10 for the future. He'll have his chance when he's back from injury though. If De Villiers had given Sarel Pretorius his chance the last few times around I bet the 2 top choice No. 9's in SA would be Pretorius and Hougaard. I haven't been paying as much attention to the SA teams in Super Rugby this time around though, so I may be sounding like a massive idiot here, don't hold that against me. But I think I'm not the only one who feels that way about Goosen. Great player, great future. Hope he comes back better than before injury.

What a ridiculous headline for an article that makes it clear that it's not the final squad. I'm glad Kolisi wasn't picked - it gives him some much needed breathing space for the rest of the Super Rugby comp. There's always the Rugby Championship to get another chance later in the season. I hope he leaves v/d Merwe behind - the man is a walking penalty just waiting to be conceded!

Too many Sharks! Keegan skinny schoolboy and Fat Bambi is sooo overated due to the hype created by brainless rugby fans in Natal!
Boks would be fine with core group from Stormers!

@dolgun - sorry, you're right. Kolisi wasn't picked in this squad so I did jump the gun. I just think he's probably the form SA number 6. I'm a huge fan of Brussouw but he hasn't had the best of seasons. I still think there might be one or two surprises when the final squad is announced though.

Thats a nice team you've put up ,and i expect very near to what HM will pick. But i feel he will go for H.Brussow at 6 and K.Danial at 8 with B.Basson at14 with JP.Pitersen on the bench myself .One thing is for sure though its going to be an interesting tour for both countries

JP Pietersen is a shipping hazard--tackles like a teddy bear-- never combines with anyone--gives away penalties--surely they won't pick him ahead of Basson or Le Roux--some good players but some has- beens

@ BokAvenger do you really think Kolisi will get picked? I hope so because he's in awesome form lately

No Kolisi, that's a surprise. Guess Lambie will be playing at fullback. Overall some serious talent in this squad.

No Ruan Pienaar!? Is the new SA coach running a policy of no players outside of RSA?

That's not a bad looking squad at all! Some exciting new talent and not an over-reliance on old heads. What a surprising turn up for the books!

There are some really good players in there...the first test could be Englands best chance to beat the boks on this tour though seeing as they have very little time to prepare as a 1st XV before it...
