Congratulations Wales, I watched the game & it was a fully deserved win, from a NZer here.
I said after watching the Baby Blacks & Wales in their first games that there was no way that Wales could win so I'm on here prepared to eat my words.
Also great to see Argentina continue their impressive form & a huge fightback for England as a loss to Ireland was probably going to end their chance at the title.
So at this stage barring some more upsets & there's no way you can rule out that after what has happened so far lol.
It Looks as though the semifinalists will be:
Wales
Argentina
England - Still with a tough game against SA but a win will get them through & a losing BP may be enough for that top spot. Still a chance for Ireland, & SA.
New Zealand - Still in the best position for that best runners up spot with 6 competition points, a 60+ points difference, & a game with Fiji left. Other teams with 6 points, SA & France have England & Australia respectively.
And finally, Good to see they're moving the Danie Craven games to Newlands as that pitch was cutting up more efficiently than a serial killer.

No comment about the victory of the "Pumitas" against the Junior Wallabies?!?!??? That was certainly another upset; a great defensive effort by the Argentine team, who had to play against a bigger and more experienced Australian side. Conditions helped, but these two victories could be a reflection of what serious, professional preparation can add to Argentinian rugby.

All blacks v Wales was a mud wrestling match. If the young blacks had have stuck to pick and go they might have won. Wales were smarter in the mud. Today abs shoulda played 10 man rugby.

These results show that the NH under 20 teams go into this tournament better prepared as they play a six nations U20 tournament every year. They way Wales coped with the extreme conditions and totally crap rugby ground ! ( what was the SARFU thinking???) was far better than the Baby blacks who when they got a try scoring op blew it with to much haste in trying to score. The Welsh kicked better and smarter and the Kiwis didnt want to run the ball back to often in case they made a mistake, dopped the ball etc.
Overall the Welsh game plan for the conditions was superior to the Kiwis.
NZ can still make semis though , and will nee a huge score against Fiji and some other games scores in their favour to make it to Semis.
Good move SARFU moving the remaining games to Newlands( exactly my thought as watching the NZ vs Wales game)

Amazing, here I was predicting the baby blacks walk another tourney. Well done taffs you will always be the first team to beat the blacks! Shame for the Irish but England must concentrate on south africa. How good would it be to have at least two nh teams in the semis!

Pathetic coverage from PR on a truly great victory by Wales. Hell, if it had been England that had won the Queen herself would have taken a pee out of the window of Buckingham Palace and every article on PR would have been about how great, and wonderful the Poms are. At any rate, well done to Wales! Like their senior team, they are the one home union team that has moved on from the typical northern hemisphere mentality of boo-hoo, the southerners are such thugs and bullies and are starting to dish out some physical lessons themselves. Welsh rugby is destined to reclaim the greatness it once enjoyed. Wales deserved to be in the World Cup final in 2011, but unfortunately it didn't fit with the IRB script.

Got to say well done Wales. OK, the conditions were a great leveller but what the hell, same for both sides and Wales adapted better and deserved the win. Special mention for any players in the welsh side who played last year when they got mullered ninety something to zero. ( at least one, Morgan was there ). To face up to a nemesis like that one year on and come out on top shows incredible character which will stand them in good stead for their whole career. Cannot praise the welsh lads enough. As for New Zealand, this will not do them any harm in the long run and they would still be my favourites to win the tournament. Finally well done England. Played that last quarter brilliantly against a good, spirited Irish side.

this could be the start of something beautiful for NH rugby. it well eventually happen my southern hemisphere brethern, greater playing numbers and more investment will eventually lead to NH teams producing results regularly against you.....wont happen for another few years though, and definitely not tomorrow with us playing the ab's.... well done wales for producing the goods against nz and to england and ireland for producing a good game in some of the worst conditions ive witnessed in years. absolute disgrace that the game was allowed to go ahead on this pitch, not like south africa has a lack of appropriate stadia for such a tournament

I really wish someone would teach respect to these young English players. The way they behaved in the 6N and are still behaving is the reason why English rugby is facing such difficulties. Big egos that capitulate as they enter into the professional scene.

Watched both games and well done Wales ,took the game to the baby blacks and put them under pressure and ground out a big win .As its the 1st time the baby blacks have lost at a JRWC.Also what a game the England -Ireland one was,saw more ball carrying and dynamisism in the first 20 mins than the entire Wales -NZ game ,and english indisapline cost them dear ,with England going down to 13 men at one stage in the 1st half.So for England to get the result in the end ,shows a brillient fight back and at the end England where totally dominent ,so a very well done to both sides for a great match ,and my god doesnt it bode well for the future of UK/irish rugby .That 3 teams have really stepped up at this tourament big time
