Back from the dead for Wallace. Fair play after the season he had. He was also one of our best players on the last tour to Kiwi under Kidney.
With Sexton and BOD on either side, defense should be fine.
Who knows? Might work, with his lovely distribution.
Even if it is flogging a dead horse and not at all building for the future.
McFadden should be at 12 - in his position - and not at 14, where he has been revealed as not being an international winger (hardly surprising when he is not a winger anyway).
But when has Kidney thought about the future?

Wallace has had a great season and think he deserves his start. I just hope hes not too jaded after the flight over, its a big call bringing him straight in to start. It makes a lot of sense to stick with last weeks team where possible. I'm a little surprised O' Brien hasn't moved to 8, but hes been outstanding at 7 the last 2 games, so can see why they wouldn't want to move him. If Ireland can get an edge up front and the conditions are wet as expected, they're in with a great chance of finally breaking the NZ hoodoo. All the right noises seem to be coming from the camp and I think now is the time to finally get out there and do it.

In Fairness to Wallace he did play well for Ulster at the tail end of the season(still would have loved to see James Downey at 12 maybe in Bovember) ,with the news from the AB's camp No Carter, 3 first starters and an out-of-form Mc Caw, it even outs the playing field.
Still think we blew our chance last week, Deccie's Irish side has failed to put in back to back performances for 3 years. Hope I'm wrong but???
Ah COME OIN IRELAND.

With all due respect to Gavin Duffy, Wallace should have been flown out last week. It's a big ask to throw him directly in against Sonny Bill. What is Kidney's problem with Trimble? If he wanted to start Earls at 11, Earls best position in my opinion, why didn't he switch Trimble to 14, his club position. McFadden still has a bit to go at international level. Just don't get some of his decisions.
