Ospreys and Wales centre Ashley Beck could find himself in a race against time to be fit for the Six Nations due to an ankle injury.
Beck limped off during the Ospreys win over the Dragons on New Year's Eve and must now await the results of a scan to determine how long he will be sidelined.
"Ashley has a scan and we won't know much more until the next couple of days," said Ospreys backs coach Gruff Rees to the South Wales Echo.
"We think it is a severe sprain though. It won't be a long, long term injury but the potential is there to rule him out for at least this weekend but also Europe and beyond over the next month."
Wales lock Ian Evans is another doubt for the Ospreys' Heineken Cup matches as he continues his redevelopment from an ankle injury picked up playing against Samoa.
"Leicester is unlikely, but hopefully towards the end of the month we can get him back on the field for the league games," added Rees.
"People are speculating about his international return, but hopefully we can get him back in an Ospreys shirt as quick as possible."
