Munster hunting bonus at Murrayfield

Munster points machine: Ronan O'Gara

Munster will be aiming to win and score at least four tries against Edinburgh on Sunday to stay in the hunt for a Heineken Cup quarter-final berth.

The two-time champions (2006 and 2008) trail Pool 1 leaders Saracens by three points and are one behind Racing Metro, who host Sarries on Saturday.

A full house of points in the Scottish capital for Munster will set up a showdown with against Racing Metro at Thomond Park next week.

The Irish giants, who are looking to bounce back from defeat to Cardiff Blues at Musgrave Park last week, have only failed to reach the last eight of European rugby's premier tournament once in the last 14 seasons, back in 2011.

Edinburgh are out of this season's tournament and are still looking for their first points. The Scottish team have lost their last five matches, including last season's semi-final. This season, they have been nilled twice and are yet to hit double figures in a single game.

@ ArmchairGeneral

Where do you see the quote from Munster Rugby? It's an article stating the obvious but no player or member of management have said anything about the bonus point. So there is no motivational insult

Don't forget, Armchair, Bradley is from Cork... never trust anyone from Cork, especially not when doing the honourable thing is concerned. All logic points to Munster failing to get 5- as awful as Edinburgh are, if the Neeps line up in a similar fashion to how they line up against Cardiff, and shuffle the ball back and forth with no penetration, then kick it away, they simply can not succeed. Of course, if they abandon that 'new game-plan', drop O'Gara, and take Cardiff as a kick up the hole they needed, then Edinburgh are there for the taking. Reckon the former is more likely... that's where my money will go.

@ArmchairGeneral this is just stating a fact. No where in this article is there a quote from anyone. If they want to get out of the group they need to get 5 points. This is just planetrugby creating some news on a slow morning. Stirring the shit. If they didn't post some of these things nothing would happen on this site
