It seems like the end of the year performances are taken way more into account because we are only human and the most recent performances will stick out. Next year you should do a team of the year in June as well and then we can compare the two this time next year. Just a thought...

I think the propping pair are lucky to be on that list (Adam Jones, Andrew Sheridan, Nicolas Mas, Dan Cole and Gurthro Steenkamp have all had far better years) and that Ben Youngs should definitely have edged out Genia (he did receive a Premiership winner's medal as well as winning their international showdowns 2-1 this year), but other than that you can't fault the choices.

I don't know how Quade Cooper got on the bench...pick someone who tackles. [and I'm a Wallaby supporter].
Pocock will be Wallaby Captain soon...I believe he'll shade Richie in 2011

To add more NH players into the team would be to try and shorten the distance which exists between hemispheres. Its pretty clear that there is a big difference between tri-nation and six nations teams. For the sake of rugby the NH has some catch up to do if they dont want to get embarrased next year. A "weak" SA side almost got a Grand Slam losing a once in a decade(or even more) match against Scotland. No team was able to push the All Blacks, England seemed the more prepared but truth be told when the guys step on the gas its almost impossible to stop them. Finally Oz who are becoming strong contenders for next years WC with a young team. Their pack still needs some work but I believe their backs are second to none with AAC almost unstoppable. They need to get some consistency to become a real threat come next year.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a Club WC with S14 and ERC finalists facing each other. A Munster vs. Crusaders or a Toulouse vs. Bulls would be something worth watching.
Merry Xmas

Is it just me, or everytime an AB went head-to-head with another guy, he won? =P
It has been a huge year for the ABs and I guess they deserve their massive on this team! Maybe, with the exception of Owen Franks... I really think that Jones was way better! But that's democracy for you...

Dead on boysinblue, All blacks supreme but Woodcock and Franks are most certainly not the two best props in the world on talent or form
