Exeter wing Fetu'u Vainikolo admits it will "be an honour" to don the Tongan jersey at Sandy Park if selected for their 2015 Rugby World Cup game.
The powerful finisher, who has stood out for the Chiefs this season, was speaking 500 days out from the mouth-watering global showpiece.
Tonga face an African qualifier at his club venue and it's a prospect that excites wing Vainikolo.
"If I get picked for Tonga it'll be an honour to play and put the red jersey on, especially back here on my home ground at Exeter," he told BBC Sport.
"Fingers crossed I get in the squad somehow.
"Obviously Tonga's always on my mind, but I've got a job to do here at Exeter Chiefs.
"It's a blessing to be honest. It's emotional - it's a feeling that you can't explain as a rugby player when you represent your country."
