cuw3100 - the expansion of Super rugby, or the year after a RWC? A bit of both, players who won't be around/selected for 2015 maybe chasing one last big contract pre-retirement.

Apart from Jerome Kaino who has said he wants to return to Super rugby (and ABs if he can) after Japan I think the others that have gone won't be back playing at top level. Dean Mumm maybe, only 28.

Why he left before the end of S15? Is it becoz the franchise is way down the table?

The expansion of Super Rugby has made so many to go to Europe. Am sure if PR checked the stats from Super 12 time, the migration rate has increased drastically.

crunchfit - joking! I did say 'on paper' - he was born in Auckland to NZ parents who moved to Oz when he was 2 (an early ARU signing?), and his grandfather William Mumm was a NZ-born All Black. Good luck to him, at 28 should have a few good years left in UK/Europe.

Aren't his parents Australian and he was just born in NZ?
