A consensus is growing among readers that PR's teams of the week are a joke.

Waldrom's inclusion here gives me the biggest laugh. As a Hurricanes fan I recall he was always a favourite with the crowd because of his high-energy bullocking cameos and, well, a reason that it wouldn't be fair on Thomas to state. But let's face it, Collins and So'oialo consigned him to the Canes bench.

Henry, Hansen and Smith kept him out of the All Blacks. They and Canes coach Colin Cooper knew there was a difference between being eye-catching and being effective. PR needs to learn that difference. You can start by taking another look at McCaw's performance at the weekend.

Waldrom may have carried ball after ball, but his carrying effectiveness is terrible! He's very upright in contact, which simply doesn't work at international standard

Not sure that Waldron was stand out enough, I'd personally go for

McCheat as his performance at 8 was pretty amazing. Nothing against Haflpenny but Goode or Aplon were much more deserving.

@provyd

To be honest, I think South Africa are looking stronger than Australia at the moment, but I guess we'll find out whether that's true soon enough.

Was the line-up made by stephen jones, who can only pick english and welsh players and based on some obscure logic and not on performance. England celebrate a draw against a poor springbok team, this shows how far the standards set by Woodward have fallen. The springboks with a fly half who must have a compromising photo of the coach as there is no other reason why he is in the team. The bash it up the middle and lack creativity by the english was frightening they have creative players but refuse to pick them.

The welsh are close to something but don¿t have the mental edge just yet, this can be seen in the European cup - it will come but they need to learn. The irish, an opportunity to retire, for many of the players bacons (especially ROG, who thought it was a good idea to kick ball after ball to new Zealand. The complaints about the coach who is poor are merited and the missing players, but rugby is a contact sport and few teams can put the best 15 every game - time to man up which sadly few of their players managed on Saturday. New Zealand were a class apart and deserve the credit and show that they are building towards 2015.

In relation to Scotland does anyone watch them on planetrugby - it must be as they seem to not be able to distinguish a player playing in a team as having a good game. Equally the inability to pick any Australians who also won does raise many questions on the selectors.

provyd, I'd suggest you wait until after the Championship before claiming thatv Australia are stronger than South Africa at the moment.

They looked inept and dull in all three of their tests and their Super Rugby teams have all looked exactly the same. Every weekend, the Aussie games are the dullest of the games unless they're getting a hiding from someone intent on playing running rugby.

I'm expecting Australia to finish 3rd, possibly even last, depending how Argentina adjust to the game.

It's funny how The Beast only got 6/10 by your mate Tristan Holme for the player ratings for the 3rd test.

Harsh on the unbeaten Boks. Eng v Saf was an engine room battle. Palmer was better than Parling but I'd have Etzebeth as he dominated in all set departments despite Palmer plus Parlings good defensive games. possibly Palmer too instead of the Kiwi... But I guess Gray would have been key in the win over Samoa.

Think Boks have a fitness issue as they looked like they couldn't handle the intensity they were themselves building. Just as well as England would have capitulated if they could sustain 80 mins of their power game. It appears to wear the Boks out faster than England so if they don't get points quick the momentum goes. Like a boxer who goes for an early KO. Really shows how that early try in second series that should not have been swung the series.

Spies was a bit better than Waldrom. Evident by the fact his numerous critics have been silenced. One of the few Boks forwards that is 80 minutes fit. Waldrom again knocked on on an important high ball but this time made up for it later. Over rated though; Nick Easters good hands and heavy legs sorely missed at 8.

Tough call on Pocock. No offense to Ireland but Pokemeister had the tougher assignment by far last Saturday.

The usual pathetic, anti-South African RUBBISH from PR. How could you exclude Bismarck du Plessis, Eben Etzebeth and Willem Alberts from this team? And quite franly, I'd add Bryan Habana, Jean de Villiers and JP Pietersen to that list as well.
