Ulster have announced that Friday's RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Zebre has been postponed following the death of Nevin Spence at the weekend.
The game in Parma will now be played at a later date, while a moment of silence will also be observed at all PRO12 matches this weekend.
Centre Spence, who was 22, was killed in an accident at his family's farm on Saturday - along with his father Noel and elder brother Graham.

@makemehappy Honestly I don't know how you don't see that rugby takes a back seat here, a 22 year old man and his family have died in a tragic accident. Get real.

@The_Dange - obviously I'm comparing the ability to play. You can play after the death of a friend. You can work after the death of a friend. I've done it! You can't seriously be saying that you can play with a broken leg LOL. Come on - have a think next time! You just became caught up with the emotional element of this tragedy.

@makemehappy What is with your lack of consideration? Comparing injuries to the death of a friend, are you serious? Every one of the Ulster players and Ulster people for that matter would rather broken legs if they got Nevin back.

@leinsterblue - I do agree that they might not be up for a game. A team with lots of injuries might well be told 'tough luck' though. One's a possible problem, the other certainly is.

Fair play really. Sounds like the Italians have been very sympathetic and supportive, but what else do you expect from rugby people. Big thumbs up for Zebre.

@ makemehappy - understand your point of view, but maybe the Ulster players were not up to it...although they are professionals, they are still human, and this tragedy may have completely knocked the stuffing out of the squad...

The family probably don't give two tosses about whether the match goes ahead or not. I don't think it's touchy feely to not expect lads who bury their friend and colleague on a Wednesday to travel to Italy on the Thursday and go to war on the Friday. A little clarity please.

I'd want the game to go ahead if I was the family. That's a fitting mark of respect as far as I'm concerned (noted we're all different). This is a professional sport and if a colleague of mine died in work tomorrow, I''d be in work the next day. There's too much of this touchy feely stuff around these days.
