Stowers cleared

Ospreys player George Stowers in action during the Heineken Cup

Not guilty: George Stowers

Ospreys loose forward George Stowers has been cleared after being cited for a high tackle during last Friday's league victory over the Scarlets.

The complaint against Stowers was heard by a PRO12 disciplinary panel in Dublin on Wednesday.

The three-man group accepted Stowers' explanation that he was attempting to dislodge the ball from a Scarlets player and decided not to uphold the citing complaint.

No alternative. They couldn't admit that 3 officials were so completely wrong! Obviously it was a dangerous tackle (not high in my book as the player was diving) and it looked like a swinging arm, as opposed to an attempted tackle.

Should have been dealt with on the field of course!
