Stormers second-row Eben Etzebeth could make his return from injury for the Springboks against the World XV in Cape Town next month.
Etzebeth, who has been sidelined since sustaining a serious ankle injury in the Boks' Test against France in Paris last November, has started training with the Stormers but the Cape Town-based franchise's coach Allister Coetzee revealed that they will not be rushing him back into action.
Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer was hoping Etzebeth would return to action before the June break for Tests but Coetzee said the lock will be 'lucky' to play in their final game before the break against the Sharks in Durban on May 31.
"He trained with us in the week, but I don't think one should read anything into that really," said Coetzee.
"We want him to get familiar with having the ball in hand and start forgetting about the ankle and run a bit.
"I think he will be lucky to play against the Sharks, but I am so conservative now I will probably look at it after the break."
