Best scrum ever....I rember learning rugby as a scrum half by watching tons of tapes of the early 90's and Joost was just my favorite, so I become myself a running scrum half. Inspirational this man.

I had a chat once with Mike Phillips (Wale's scrum half n.d.r.) he agreed he was the best 9 ever!

My very best to you

Until now I thought Argentina might've had a chance. Joost has just created an unstoppable force when the boks take the field. Inspirational.

A true great and without doubt the first number nine on a World XV throughout his era and probably most others. Good luck with your battle Joost.

So sad to see such a great player struck by such a terrible disease. Sure his handing out the jerseys must be very emotional and inspiring.

The best scrum half ever, a legend and a true man. This is what captains should be or say.

Joost, keep fighting, you are an example to us all.
