Reds chief to talk to Cooper

24th September 2012 09:44

Quade Cooper is to be summoned to meet with Reds chief Jim Carmichael after the Queensland boss admitted to being "fed up" with his Twitter posts.

Just days after telling AAP that the Wallabies will continue to lose fans and Bledisloe Cup Tests if they play to a boring, conservative style, he used his social media account to vent about supposed problems behind the scenes with the Wallabies.

Cooper also suggested he wants to join friend and All Black, Sonny Bill Williams, in the NRL.

And that has led to Carmichael telling the Courier Mail that it is time to sit down with his fly-half.

"I'm fed up to be honest. Quade is making silly comments that do damage to our code," he said.

Quade is great for the wallaby game. We do not want to play the boring stuff that teams like SA and England do. Before the world cup the Wallabies were looking good and playing exiting rugby. Suddenly Cooper had to play conservative , % style rugby and we have gone backwards since.

We, the fans shouldn't have to put up with it and good on Quade for having a say!

@DameEdnasPossum, totally agree with you after this latest outburst from him...!

He's had his chances and been given every opportunity to show he is a team player, but lets face it, he's not, he's a divisive and selfish person, and a detriment to the Wallabies. I've been a bit on the fence with this guy but after his cheap shot merchant petulance with McCaw, I think i have seen and heard enough now, he's done nothing since 2010/2011 the world cup found him out, and there's not point persisting with a mercenary like him JOC for the future #10 why not!!?

Khoder Nasser is the poison at the root of Quade Cooper and SBW, all he cares about is money and he manipulates his players and whispers in there ear and we have seen the outcome. People managed by Nasser have no loyalty, no sense of achieving something through years of hard graft and no understanding of legacy, they have huge egos, live pay check to pay check, and if the money aint right screw the team, screw the sport....who is paying the most ?

He showed some promise about two years ago which would be perfect for up north Armchair, considering you guys are about 2 years behind the south.

I like him. His games are never ever dull. Totally unpredictable. Fantastic to watch. Spencer was terrifying to play against too. No insult there. So many flash harries play dull when it's really a big game, like SBW. But Quade has shown his tricks and made them work even against the ABs. Get him over to Europe; he would be a huge hit.

Wasn't it only about a year ago that the aussie media were rating him better than Carter?

This week's 'Loose Pass' from PR shows a pic of Sir Richie holding the Freedom Cup, while this article shows QC the enigmatic, talisman twat holding...a plastic chair.

Pooper the cheapshot master clearly suffering from a serious case of trophy-envy from his fellow countryman.

I've been a fan of PR for years and i regularly read all your posts fellas however this is the first time i've felt strong enough about an issue to register and speak-up. For the love of rugby it's time to set this laptop thief free. Cooper and the hangers-on feeding off him need to peddle their wares elsewhere. Not only is he a grub but i ask you - what exactly has he achieved at the national level? Sweet FA. And now when finally dingo admits to his high-level choking, Cooper spits his dummy on twitter or whatever Piss him off. His milliseconds of so called 'brilliance' are far outweighed by his constant and significant errors. Great players don't blame others. Piss him off. The treatment he received from his fellow Kiwis was entirely his own doing. They know a scrote when they see one. Piss him off. In a year or two it will be Quade who? He didn't crack the Wallabies in terms of fan support, fellow player respect or consistently high performance. He could have...but he didn't. Piss him off. The game is better off without him.

@UBA05 - I appologise. You are right, it was a big faux pas. How the Aussies could do with a class act at 10 and a pack that could string some successful set pieces together. That asside the team has got the tallent. The Aussies will always be up there along with the Kiwis and the Boks. It's just the way it is and as an England supporter if we can break that mould at any time then great buty I fear it is only done in blips. My point is that the Aussies don't need Cooper - at all!! When players become more than the team then get rid. Cooper just can't control his mouth and he thinks he's the cats whiskers. He isn't, so tell him to sling it.

It really makes you wonder if QC has any concept of what he has got and what he has to lose.

I fear he will regret a lot of his actions and words in later life .

Unfortunately, Quade Cooper is a liability in every sense. He has got a big mouth (which is a pain to deal with in this media fuelled professional game that we now have) but not a great deal to back it up with. He is the Aussie version of Carlos Spencer in his playing style which is the odd moment of brilliance and the rest of his game is a complete liability. A massive difference to the consistent, reliable and world class Stephen Larkham. I would send him back to the NRL first class delivery for free and do this ASAP. Australia need to move on from this idiot.

After all the rubbish that went down last year with Ritchie and all sorts of other things I went on record before last year's WC saying this guy is a waste of space and an absolute liability. Cooper clones are 10 a penny in NZ and most of them don't make it, even the odd one that gets there at least has a bit of personality and knows the parameters of loyalty and how to behave, Carlos Spencer comes to mind. The sooner the Wallabies get shot of this "toxic" waste of time the better they will be. I don't rate him, never have, and its a joke that he thinks he can do better in league. Get rid of him and move on Australia, trust me you will be better off.
