yep, Deans was a good joke, whoops freudian slip coach, at super rugby level. It's quite evident now why NZ didn't want him as coach, and why EVERYBODY in NZ want him as coach for Australia

don't mention that to the australian olympic team - plenty of oz headlines stating 'silver is the new gold'
thee are some parallels - the female oz swimming who got silver, admitting she spent too much time on facebook and reading media reports about her, for one.
talk v results
second v first
and still, isn't second better than fourth - where australia were ranked when deans took over 2008?

Whats the old saying, you can only flog a dead horse so much? Either Robbie is a Bad Coach, and the Crusaders won x amount of titles on player power alone, or Robbie is a good coach and the Aussie players are... (fill in the blanks). I know which of those two makes the most sense...

Just because you have the best kitchen in the world, if you are not a chef (even if though you were the best cook in a small cafe) you cannot produce the goods !!!
Why give someome a Petrus (even a standard pomerol) if they can't appreciate it !!!
PS there is no "difficult" where I grew up, just a diff-erent-cult !!!

"They're still the number two side in the world. He's copping a lot of flak for losing to us, rather than people looking at the bigger picture."
Hansen is such a kiwi, there is no bigger picture than No1 in the world, you idiot. We are Australian, second best doesn't cut it
Of course he wants Deans to remain as a coach (of sorts) of the Wallabies. What idiot wouldn't want a loser on the opposite side who as coach failed to score a point for first time in 50 years, worst losing streak ever against the Kiwis, 14 defeats in 17 starts !!! (blah blah blah not the coaches fault etc etc) If the roles were reversed I'm sure I'd love to have someone like Deans as coach for the kiwis. If Aus had a good coach this group of players would have been number 1 for the past few years and Giteau would be still in Australia.
The only focus Deans ever had, like every other Kiwi is, I just want to live in Australia and my family to grow up there.
So queue the kiwis to defend Deans as Wallaby coach and keep thier winning streak going .............................I can almost here the whinge from Aus (or maybe it's the hordes on the Gold Coast !!!)

The rest of the championship needs to be played out first before any further decisions should be made, but i for one don't feel Deans is the issue, either the payers attitude is not right or they are just under performing and out of form, they just have to be patient and believe in their systems, Aus depth is an issue, and injuries to top players isn't helping and the problem in being magnified... but as I said lets see how we go against SA & Arg before making any rash choices??? Sanity must reign!

Too true. A coach can do so much, but once on the park its the players who need to perform and "think on their feet".
The injuries and some selections have caused a blip on the OZ performance.
Also there is no shame in losing to the best on the planet, the world champions :)
Alarm bells wing ring (may be non-stop) if OZ lose to Argentina and SA repeatedly.
