What you have seen is Aus Super rugby are the teams limping through the year. Play the Reds v Sharks game again with Cooper in and not losing a 10 and hooker after 20 mins and Giena moving out of position, then there would be not shock result. Even as it was if the South African Ref from Durban had of allowed the Gill try the result could have been different.

Aus had a shock defeat to Scotland (with a 3/4 string side on a Tuesday after S15 on Sat) and a 3 series win over the best from the NH with a 2nd string side. Aus are still struggling to get key players fit for first game of RC. Aus had a Shock defeat to Samoa last year and went on to win Tri Nations !

@APV1, I'm actually thinking of putting a bet on Australia finishing 4th, I've been so unimpressed with what I've seen.

How anyone, even with a huge Australian bias, can say "there was certainly a great deal shown by a number of the Australian franchises that they will provide big threats in 2013" is beyond me. The onyl big threats they pose is sending all the spectators to sleep.

Normally I like watching Australia play, but the current teams, both internation and super rugby have been pathetic. And that's coming from someone who routinely puts up with England, Scotland and Ireland playing very uninspiring rughby (to say the least!).

@ georgesmith - are you 13 years old? Can you not even make an attempt at writing in English? This isn't txtng ur m8s, this is a public forum. Have some thought about your audience - the key to communication is what is received, not what is sent.

And, having deciphered your txt spk, it appears that you actually have some sensible opinions, it's just a shame that they're difficult to interpret.

With regards to your 4N team, it's probably about there. I'd have Barnes ahead of Cooper and Beale might well be in prison. I'd start Ioane and I think JOC's injured, but otherwise it's a pretty good team. They'll come 3rd, of course, but still it's the best they can put out.

How many "world class" players are there amongst that lot? Genia. Ioane. Pocock. Beale. Higginbottom. That's about it.
