The key punishment is that he is out of the Super XV for the remainder of the season. The number of weeks is of little significance beside that.

The judicial officer has done well here. Just as Filo Paulo has been made an example to other players, Roger Drummond should serve as an example to some of the more "amenable" judicial officers.

Not a cool thing to do by any means but he did apologise and show remorse and let's hope he has learn't a lesson and thinks twice next time. What's done is done and everyone deserves a second chance, don't they?

I don't think the "relatively clean record" should have been considered in this case. That punch was meant to hurt Donnelly (or else why else would you punch a man in the face who is lying defenseless on the ground with that much force?).
