the game cant be played on saturday the 3rd of march as the Top 14 has a full schedule of games for that date and the fans cant be in two places at once. From a player point of view the game should be played in June, call the result a draw or france should forfeit!

@Telltales

Agree that it should have been the Saturday, Ireland who have been already disadvantaged are once again being disadvantaged as loads of fans won't be able to make Sunday's game, why are the IRFU being so meek on this entire issue, it seems they are allowing the French steer this affair even though they've already steered it on to the rocks

@boksmashoffice

you blame Stade de France for not having undersoil heating, but does Twickenham have it? I think the undersoil heating was not the issue anyway.

The whole story alights a few interesting facts and issues:

- the 6N committee refused to change the game schedule when they had the opportunity. They are the one to blame. Easy to understand why they refused, but not such a good news for rugby overall which is more than ever controlled by money.

- this year, the Top14 will have to play not or 9 games as I first thought, but 11 games out of 26 (!!) without their international players. I can understand why the LNR is not particularly pleased. This alights how opposite are the interests of the French national team and the Top14 teams. Definitely need to modify the championship. Top12 will not fix the issue entirely.

- Like Twickenham, the FFR needs its OWN stadium - erm, with undersoil heating ok ;) It has already been decided that the host city will be either Ris-Orangis or Thiais (I hope it will be Ris!).

Finally I am glad the France-Ireland game will be played early March. Can't wait for it now!

Should have been on the Saturday.... Sunday suits France and fancy that they got their way allowing them ideal seven day turnarounds both sides of 4th of March. Ireland on the other hand have 6 days to prepare for their game v Scotland. The Six Nations Council makes this decision voting against the IRFU; not much consideration for the fans either with a match on Sunday.

Great. I'd much prefer to lose than accept a draw or French forfeit. Also glad to hear that that idiotic suggestion to have it next season will not happen. It's irritating to hear pitiful excuses about the Top 14 / RWC when we are in this situation because of their ineptitude (although, I am not suggesting the FFR are purely at fault).

I think more than ticket prices should be reimbursed, particularly as the situation was caused by massive incompetency. The tickets were probably one of the smaller expenses too.

Glad it's being replayed.

Glad they're willing to reimburse the ticket price.

Will they reimburse the other costs too, or at least offer to cover them for those who do decide to travel again to see the match?

I'll set my box to record the match. I'm guessing it'll be scheduled for something like 02:37 hrs on 4th March... Well, that makes as much sense at 21:00 hrs!!
