Maorihill: "I never heard him say when he had a bad game, and recently he has had one or two - eg vs Wales in RWC 1/4F"
in Brian's defence he did come out and say he was injured for the majority of the world cup and went for surgery straight after the world cup having said he probably should have been playing. Not directly saying he had a bad game but offering a reason why he may have done.
Whatever you may say about BOD I for one hope this Break/surgery has worked and gives him another few years because frankly we need him.

Meh. The Ferris penalty wasn't a penalty at all, so if we'd held out for another 90 secs we would have won.
You can't win when the ref is against you. Just ask France about the RWC final.

Wales where the better team on the daythey had the more go forward ball and had Ireland under pressure all game .Ireland didnt do that and only really had Wales under sustained pressure when Davies was in the bin.Yes Ireland should have gone for the lineout kept the ball in Wales half ect and closed the game out but they didnt and paid the price .But it is good BOD recognises that Ireland didnt play paticually well while Wales did and says so

Don't agree, but there's nothing wrong with losing gracefully. Ireland choked in the last 5 minutes, too scared to force the turn over, they let the welsh move into scoring range. They needed to be more agressive in the welsh 22 where the move started and if they gave awau a penalty and the welsh kicked to touch then all the better because the irish were all over the Welsh lineout all afternoon. How can wales be the better team when their line out was getting shredded? Scotland will have taken note of this welsh weakness. Expect Parks to be kicking for the corners.

Fair comment from BoD, well done.
I agree that Ireland were in a position to close the match out, especially when unexplicably they kicked from 51 m instead of going to touch with few minutes to go.
Ireland make the most out of the scoring opportunities, they are were efficient especially when thay are in the 22.
