This is not about ROG but about the player who is Ireland's best fly half and that's Sexton. I can see the frustration Sexton is suffering, has he ever played a full 80 minutes for Ireland? He takes the pitch for Ireland, if he's even selected, knowing that he has to get the job done in 60 minutes before he's replaced. This is a very negative mindset for the player manning the most pivotal position on the field to cope with and in all probability is psychologically making Sexton force games . Southern hemisphere International teams usually endorse an out half and stick with it, they don't do what Kidney is doing when it comes to fly halves especially. It shows that Kidney is actually indecisive about who is No.1 out half is and this cannot be good for either ROG or Sexton or Ireland. Proof of this is that at the WC ROG's threat of retirement saw Kidney throw egg in Sexton's face and select ROG for the next match. Obviously having two players of this calibre is a headache for Kidney in one respect but he's definitely not handling the situation right at all and bowing to one more than the other and the one he bows to more in this case is ROG as Ireland as a team suffer....

On these boards I ranted about this facet of Kidney/Ireland before and during the WC and Sexton's comments show I was on the mark...As in the WC I think it's bad that Kidney has still not endorsed Sexton as his No.1 out half and shown 100% faith in him, because if he did he'd get even better performances from him. I his absence and Kidney's failure to endorse a No.1 out half cost us thye wales match at the WC. When we hear Sexton saying he is constantly looking over his shoulder wondering when he's going to be replaced we can take it that he's going on the field with something in his head he could well do without. Sexton is the No.1 out half at Leinster, Joe Schmidt has endorsed this and both Sexton and his back up out half knows it, and it shows with the authority Sexton plays for Leinster, with leadership and that of a captain....So Deccie when are you going to stop dithering over this crucial issue? As it's cost Ireland dear in the past!!

No no not dead mealy maimed beyond repair will do. lol joke joke im only messing na Munster payers should be in Ryan should be in for DOC and I like the decision to pick O'Mahony as a replacement for the moment From what iv seen of Chris Henry is he is int up to it.I want to see Zebo get some game time over the 6 nations and I think Varley should be ahead of Sean Cronan because Cronan is great in the loose but has a habit of try line fever.I would how ever like to see Eoin O'Malley get his shot at 13 because he has played well this season and is a specialist 13.

Competition is good. However I did not like the way RoG used the press to make clear that he was in a better form than Sexton. RoG is not getting better with time and if he can't build some team spirit with Sexton, it is better to have him out.
