It made my life miserable an ACL surgery. It hurts when you see then a very young and fantastic player undergo to some stressful moments, I hope is recovering fast and still the same.

That's a real shame, I really rate medard and his attacking skills will be sorely missed by France...who should cover him for France though? Personally I'd choose Heymans (tonnes of experience, a good boot and pace can't go amiss at fullback)...

I am happy to say both heymans and medard scored tries that day in carisbrook !!.....possibly the heymans one was more spectacular, but great to remind ourselves... :-)

@Carpelone it was Cedric Heymans that scored THAT try against the All Black x

ACL injuries are terrible things. Really hope he doesn't try to rush back before he is ready. The mental scar, and lack of "confidence" in the knee, may last 3 months after he resumes playing, much more if he has a relapse. Just ask Moody (himself also a full-back by training)......
Bon courage mon brave!!

Shame for such a young player to get such a lengthy injury. Hopefully he will recover sooner, always liked this player.

One of my favourite players, especially for scoring that try to New Zealand.

Get well soon, Maxime! Such a big loss for France, he is destined to be another one of the great France fullbacks after Blanco, Sadourny (sooo underrated), Lafond... and at last end the years of the Traille-like fullbacks.

such a sad thing to hear, france are well covered for Full back but i think toulouse will miss him more, they are looking very light in the winger/full back department with CauCau out too!! i think they will promote from the youths rather than use a medical joker.
get well soon x

Huge loss. You have got to love Medard as a player: you always expect something special to happen when he starts running with the ball. Would love to see him playing Super Rugby.
