Sale Sharks have confirmed on Thursday the addition of hulking loosehead prop Darren Fearn to their squad ahead of next season.
25-year-old Fearn hails from Scarborough, and joins the Sharks from Bedford Blues having played previously for Newcastle Falcons.
"Darren has been playing consistently well for Bedford in the Championship and he has been on our radar for a while. He is a young lad, English and I am sure he will prove to be a valuable member of our squad next season," said Director of Rugby, Steve Diamond.
Fearn started playing rugby at a young age with Scarborough. He studied at Northumbria University and played for Blaydon, picking up an England Students Cap in 2009 before moving to Kingston Park. The loosehead is 6ft 3ins and weighs in at 20st.
Fearn joins Nathan Hines, Chris Cusiter and Alberto De Marchi in the list of new signings who will be pulling on the Sharks shirt next season.
