A lot more made of the Tu'ifua tackle than I think was necessary but I think that was within the context of what the Falcons had been up to until then. Yes it was late but arms were up and he was committed.
Vickers banged to rights, the punch was cheap and apparently unprovoked.
It would appear that Falcons had taken to the field with the intention of disrupting the opposition by getting in their faces, it might of worked too if both kickers hadn't been wearing each others boot on the wrong feet. It might be a survival tactic but not if your team are all serving bans in the run in.
Reminds me of schoolboy rugby where if the game had gone, you spent the last quarter settling old scores and rivalries - no place for it in the world of grown-ups and any chink of light in the north-east has now gone.
