Have to say im shocked ,England just never turned up .Very lackadasical and didnt show any of their own power play at all .The baby bokkes where their for the taking ,and England just never went for the juggalier in the 1st half ,and gave the bokkes belief .A woeful showing ,hopefully never to be reapeted. That said hats off to the baby bokkes ,took the game by the scruff of the neck, and took their oppatunities to win a game they really shouldnt. To score 4 tries was a massive ask ,and they succeeded. So again well done baby bokkes for wining and progressing ,what now are the odds on a NZ-SA final i wonder

@kybone: interesting idea that anywhere in the southern hemisphere is effectively a home game for the SH teams..

kybone, you realise that the Southern Hemisphere is a rather large area. I would hazard a guess that all Northern Hemisphere nations competing at the JWC are closer to South Africa than NZ and possibly Australia. South Africa are the only team at home and the weather and venue shouldn't be an excuse for any team, NZ included.

I'm probably the last person I thought would say this but some of the Baby Black players don't look all that professional. Actually reminded me of the Blues team.

@ Stellenbosched: lol - good one... Even I prayed in that time!

Hi JayStarr,
The praying that has crept into SA rugby started in earnest about 4 years ago. It is coincidental that P Divvy was appointed at the same time...

My dissapointment in England failing to make the semi's is tempered by the fact that so much ability appears in the other teams. Well done Argentina, would love to have read more bout their game and understnad why it was so close against Scotland (for shame PR). After such a great start, what happened to the aussies!?
And I second blametheref's commnets, what a shame for the Irish who did so well in this tournament.

JayStarr - I don't know whether the praying is a new thing for the Baby Boks, would hate to think it coincided with Brendan Venter's appointment, you make a valid point there. Lots of people think SA v NZ in final but it could easily be Wal v Arg, it's going to be good stuff.

Wales deserve to win this and if they beat the baby blacks for a second time they will. The forward power looks good and they have a lot of style in the backs

Id love to see a Wales v Argentina final. They've been the best two teams so far. Whats with all these comments about the weather? Both teams have to play in the same conditions and yet fans of the SH nations have used the weather as an excuse for losing to NH opposition 2 or 3 times this past week. Even though the games were played in the SH! I mean how you can play at HOME, lose, and blame it on the weather suiting the opposition more is ridiculous really. If, as we all know, the SH nations produce players that are completely on another planet in terms of ability, then surely they should be able to play in any conditions.

Looks like Ireland did not get the rub of the green in this tournament after beating SA, Italy and Leading England at half time by a good margin only to go out when England unexpectantly concede a bonus point to SA...But when it comes to the so called "Luck of the Irish" in sport it's a complete myth as Ireland are anything but a lucky team, but the team did well it has to be said

so so so strange that there is hardly a mention of france beating australia. france were brilliant and the counter making tries from absolutely nothing.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, could you please comment more than one line on the Scotland - Argentina game???
Look at the report of the 4 matches, it is way too biased! I think these are teams that deserve some attention. It is the first time the Pumitas make it to the semis! I never thought they could beat France, Australia, and Scotland. Great effort...

The baby boks are still not nearly as cohesive as the other teams in this competition... but they did very well to pull it together in the 2nd half and get those 4 tries. They've got some stars though - no.12 Jan Serfontein being my pick of the bunch - so they can win this tournament if they manage to sort out their cohesion in the scrums, lineouts, defense and attack (well, basically everywhere...)
The only thing I didn't like was that whole group-praying at the end - and the fact that it looked like the coach called for it. What if someone from a different religion joins the team? Or someone who is not religious? The coach should leave the players to say their own personal prayers - if they choose - instead of making religion a team culture. It's something you see a lot in South Africa - especially at school boy level these days - and I find it a bit disconcerting. Coaches should create inclusive environments, not exclusive ones - especially with people of that age.
