RaboDirect PRO12 leaders Leinster were held to a 12-all draw by Glasgow at soaking wet Firhill on Saturday.

An Isa Nacewa penalty on 70 minutes secured a draw for Leinster, who fought back from 10-0 down.

Leinster were looking to strengthen their position at the top of the RaboDirect Pro12 table, while Glasgow were hoping to keep up the pace with the top three.

The game remained scoreless for the first quarter, with the first points coming on 29 minutes when Glasgow's Ruaridh Jackson kicked a penalty goal.

Ian Madigan had the opportunity to level the scores shortly after but his penalty attempt fell short, then team-mate Nacewa failed to convert a second opportunity.

Conditions were deteriorating as half-time approached and neither side was able to trouble the scoreboard further before the interval.

There was a much livelier start to the second half, however, with the video referee awarding Glasgow a penalty try on 46 minutes after Nacewa was deemed to have executed a shoulder charge on Pat McArthur.

Jackson's conversion made it 10-0, but Leinster struck back less than ten minutes later when Heinke van der Merwe ploughed over from short range. Madigan added the extras.

The equalising score came ten minutes from time when Glasgow were penalised for failing to roll away.

Nacewa was on target with the penalty goal and, though both sides pressed for the win in the closing stages, there was to be no last-gasp heroics.

The result sees Leinster extend their lead at the top of the table, while Glasgow close the gap between themselves and third-placed Munster to four points.
