What's wrong with Deacon as a squad player, given our paucity of backup in the position last term? Between Salvi, Croft, Newby, Crane and Waldrom we've got five class back-row players but we got stuffed with injuries, so adding a player like Deacon, bearing in mind we've let Pienaar leave, makes sense.
