The problem is the man has credibility! So we can't tempt him out of his current Wales contract with cash!

England certainly missed a trick - but then there isn't a lot wrong with our defence and one day I am sure he will be an England coach (he is a proud Englishman after all).

In the meantime a good signing for Irish and I'm sure he'll continue to do an excellent job for Wales (must be great to work with such a talented group of exciting young players).

England definatly missed an oppotunity when he was a free agent after the last RWC as has been said he is a world class defence coach .London Irish i feel will be alot better next year ,they already have a good attack ,but their defence was a bit soft conceding to many tries .Next year that will change imo ,and i feel they could be challangers in 2013

Good decision by the Irish to appoint him, Reading only down the road from Twickenham but still only down the road the other way to Cardiff.

I think next season for all Irish players and supporters will be interesting

Tough hard nosed committed. Exiles have landd a beauty here. Edwards is the one coach to come out of England in the last ten years who has proved himself time after time. His contribution to the Welsh team effort has been immense. He may not talk a lot in the media but when he does he just gives off a sense of professionalism and total commitment. If there's one thing Lancaster needed it was this man, but you get the feeling that Gatland deals with Politics and Edwards deals with coaching. England sadly always have politics although I pray that one day he comes across and gets the job done, coaches like this are hard to find in the northern hemisphere. Even with one day a week you can guarantee an improvment in the Irish defence.
