Good to see things looking more positive with inclusion of the youngsters! Hogg is an excellent attacker at full back however if he comes off the bench it'll probably be in place of DeLuca who someone quite rightly said has had too many chances.. S Lamont is required on Sunday due to Roberts however would be good to see both Lamonts return to the wing with Hogg at fullback, Ansbro and Evans at centre, although I'm not sure Ansbro could go inside. Of course then when WRU do the right thing and release half Scottish Steven Shingler.. Scotland could actually have a potentially excellent back line!! .... In backrow there's loads of competition as mentioned, second row with young talent... and Jacobsen aside, the only problem area would be the dummies in other two thirds of the front row!!! Think Robinson was struggling for a Captain candidate after Brown's injury..

However.. It's all just speculation and fantasy unless Scotland get the "try monkey" off their back!! Sunday could be the day .. Remember two years ago.. fantastic performance marred by critical injuries and poor refereeing which led to a silly defeat!!! CEEEMONNN Scotland !!

Oh boy what a game to start. If Wales field the same set of backs against Scotland that took the field against Ireland it's going to be a very uncomfortable afternoon for Scotland. Laidlaw has to be the way forward, but when you look at the physical match up across the board I wouldn't want to be in Laidlaws shoes. North coming on an inside pass down the 10 channel, not today thankyou. Hopefully they will have Ansbro back but apart from Lineen I can't see any let up for Scotland on the defensive front. Only blessing might be that the big guys hate the small nimble little gits and often have trouble nailing them down, Scotland have to dare to be different in this game, but its probably not one to put your house on. Pray for an overconfident Wales and a dogged up and attem Scotland and they may run them close.

surely there has to be a better centre in scotland better than Nick DeLuca. The guy is constantly mediocre at international level and I find it hard to believe he can have a career as a professional rugby player. having seen the scotland A- Saxons highlights, the young guy Hogg looks ten times more potent than DeLuca in attack

Get Ansbro at 13 and this scotland side could beat anyone in the 6 nations on their day, I'm glad Parks played for one last game because that allowed england to beat scotland before they find their form on the world cup backlash. As for Scotland it is now a case of shedding the losers title and finally learning how to win even if it just means making that final pass or being half a second quicker to the ball.

Yes very nice to see Laidlaw given a start i think atm he is the best flyhalf Scotland have got .He attacks the gain line passes well and is inventive and has pace. The midfield i feel does still lack something but the return of Ansbro i feel will bolster that N.De.Luca imo still has to show he can cut it at international leval been around for a few years now and still struggles to impose himself on a game .He was anonymous last weekend ,wheather that was down to the game plan or Parks is debatable .But now with a passing /running flyhalf he cant hide imo time to step up and be counted i feel otherwise Scotland need to move Evans into center imo. With Vissier on the horizon and i hope qualified for the summer DeLuca is running out of time fast

Good to see Hogg and Weir on the bench although there was no other option, also good to keep Lee Jones in there. Geoff Cross deserves a start whatever day of the week it is, he's ahead of Murray currently I think. Had wanted to see S Lamont back on the wing but we need to defend against the mighty Jamie and his barnstorming runs so a good call I reckon. Would have liked to see Denton and Rennie at 6 and 7 with Vernon at 8 though. Still, there are signs of the young guys coming through, hopefully Matt Scott appears soon as well as the likes of Harry Leonard and Mark Bennett over the next couple of seasons. Then the World Cup is ours...............

Good to see Laidlaw finally get his chance. Our midfeild is still terribly lacking in basic skills, ie passing. Lamont and Deluca is not working. We need a ball player like Scott and Ansbro or Hogg outside.
