Les Bleus have called up back-rower Alexandre Lapandry in place of injured flanker Wenceslas Lauret ahead of the first of three November internationals.
Lauret should be fit for the Tests with Argentina, in Lille on November 17, and Samoa on November 24, but was ruled out for the opening clash with Australia on November 10 because of a blow he sustained in Friday's Top 14 meeting between Lapandry's side Clermont and Lauret's Biarritz.
Lauret, 23, is the third player to withdraw from the squad, following Thierry Dusautoir because of injury and Christopher Tolofua, who is banned.
Lapandry, also 23 and capped eight times by his country, took a knock to the ribs in the Biarritz match but has been passed fit to join up with the squad on Friday, although, Philippe Saint-Andre will be hoping there are no more casualties from the next round of games scheduled for Thursday.
