What can you say about the boy who is not yet a man? A product of Grey College and the Sharks Academy, Steyn made his Springbok debut at the tender age of 19 when former coach Jake White included him for European duty.

As expected, he took to international rugby like a duck to water - crossing for a try against Ireland on his first outing.
Versatility has also seen the powerful youngster employed at full-back, both centre positions and fly-half for the Sharks, with his ability to stay on his feet, impressive boot from both tee and hand, running strength and defence making him an international for years to come.
His major highlight was being thrust into the regular number twelve spot during RWC 2007 after Jean de Villiers was forced out due to injury.
Steyn's territorial kicking and power saw him play a vital part in South Africa's eventual tournament success.
